The bikes we received were brand new, the accommodation choices were excellent, and even though it wasn't a gastronomic tour, the food and wine along the way were excellent.
I cannot recommend Visit Goodplace highly enough. Everything was well thought out and perfectly organised. The route choices were great as we rarely encountered any real traffic and were often on small back roads, or even on forest paths and bike paths. The only time it was a bit busier was at the end, on the last leg into Piran, but that was to be expected as it is a popular seaside destination.
If I was to do it again, I would plan more time to allow for the possibility of spending more than one night in some locations.
This was our second visit to Slovenia and we will surely be back for more.

Matic and Katja were knowledgeable and helpful and if there was an issue they responded and sorted things very quickly. The route planning, hotels and food were great. We had the best time and for us, it was an experience of a lifetime. While we are active boomers,, we are not bike riders and didn’t have a total idea of what to expect. The tour met and went above our expectations. When Andrej asked what the highlight of our trip had been, all I could say was that everything in the tour was a favorite and special. From biking the beautiful coast and country side, to stopping at local roadside cafes for refreshment breaks, to visiting historic and quaint medieval villages and towns. It just didn’t get better than that. Our group was small and intimate and much fun. We managed on the many different terrains, some which we found to be more challenging than others. The highway rides were scary, but all part of the adventure. The biking was not strenuous and the ebikes made it all that much easier. Wonderful accomodations, meals and wine!

It started from the airport pick up – good driver, a quality pick up , quality van and quality rented bikes. We arrived to Kranska Gora and the driver helped us with installing own bikes and the extra rented bikes. Our guide Andrej was very professional and so helpful, he know his country and local places. He helped us a lot with some downhill practices and other practical MTB things. The hotels/stays had a very good quality and food was even greater. The places and landscapes we cycled in are amazing and mind blowing and are definitely a must do if you like mountain biking. Slovenia and the Slovenians are great We will definitely come back!

Already on the first day we discovered that Slovenia is extremely beautiful. We loved the views of the mountains, valleys, rivers, vinyards and the sea! It was a real joy cycling on the paths far away from the main roads. Also the food in our hotels was delicious and mostly home-made.
The bikes we rented from Visit Goodplace were in perfected condition, probably brand new. I hope to come back next year and make another tour. Thank you!

  The tour was just fantastic! Far better than we expected. Slovenia is a beautiful country with mountains, rivers and incredible wildness. Often we have encountered no other people all day... read more and were traveling alone in this breathtaking mountain world. Day 5 we had made the Classic route (hard), but with a short cut of 20km and 1000hm less by first being transported by a shuttle to Livek. I would recommend that to anyone who is not a super athlete. The tour on the Matajur and then the endless singletrack down to Italy and from there back to the Brda area is still a crack. The tour was very exhausting, but feasible. If necessary, there was always the opportunity to take an Easy variant. We had done that on day 6, when it was just too hot and could only make about 80 instead of the 90 km. Actually, all tour segments were great. First, the wild Julian Alps with the Soca River and then the transition to the Mediterranean Karst Mountains. Except for the hotel Kompas in Kranjska Gora we liked everything very much. The tour was packed with singletrack, which was our goal. Also the people in Slovenia were really nice. We always ate great, whenever possible local dishes. Particularly noteworthy are the good wines that we could test everywhere. The wine area around Tolmin is incredibly beautiful and the old town invites you to linger. The arrival in Piran is then an incredible satisfaction and you can jump to cool off into the sea. Of the hotels we liked best the Hotel St. Martin in Tolmin and the hotel Piran in Piran. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again. We will definitely book a tour again. …

  eMTB tour and bear watching - A MUST DO! - We combined a trip with e bikes in Kočevsko with bear watching. Both experiences were top! The trails for e bikes are carefully chosen and one travels through beautiful forests,... read more abandoned villages, and epic countryside of this less known, but extremely beautiful part of Slovenia. The bear watching experience with excellent guide Miha was also unforgettable. One learns so much about the wildlife in kočevsko forests that actual seeing a bear at the dusk is not the highest priority anymore. Although it is great if you are lucky enough!
I would highly recommend to choose Visit GoodPlace as a link between yourself and hidden gems of Slovenia. They really know what they are doing!

We absolutely loved it.   GoodPlace’s organizational... read more efforts, communication, attention to detail, gps routes, accommodations, transportation and more were excellent.   With GoodPlace doing all the logistical work, we were able focus on the thing we enjoy most; cycling in a new, magnificent, eclectic and challenging place.  The Epic Tour was all of that. We received an hour-long Zoom call in advance of the tour to walk us through the details of each day and what to expect. This was something no other tour organization has ever done for us and it was exceedingly helpful (be sure to take good notes and bring them with you😊). GoodPlace even customized our tour. Rather than start in Arnoldstein, Austria, we wanted to start in Bled, a picturesque town We’ve always wanted to visit. GoodPlace readily made the necessary changes by editing the gps route and having the rental bikes delivered to our Bled guest house. We have done lots of traveling over the years and Slovenia is the most beautiful place we’ve ever been.  We plan to return.
